Now that I've calmed down about the drama surrounding something I said on another person's blog yesterday, I would like to share with you some interesting stuff that I got yesterday.
One was a book from Scotland. Someone from Bookcrossing was trying to give away a book they had, and I was the only one that took them up on their offer (as far as I know). It was supposedly mailed earlier in the month, and it came today. (My mom was the one who checked the mail and was confused about how I got a book from Scotland until I explained the situation to her.)
Another was a postcard regarding a job-seeking seminar I've started attending this month. The interesting part was this, "The goal of Pittsburg Area Job Seekers is to help persons find unemployment [emphasis mine] through education and networking." Mom suggested that when I go to the seminar tomorrow night that I take the postcard with me and bring the typo to the attention of those running the seminar. I mentioned this on a bookcrossing forum, and a couple of people said that it could get me a job as a proofreader.
